• the design, build, and commissioning of a plant that takes fats, oil, and grease, that would otherwise cause blockages in the sewer network, and separates, processes and adds value at minimal operating cost, a process that would otherwise be uneconomic for existing technologies in other sectors

• a novel reactive distillation unit that has multiple applications across oleochemicals: from the production of biodiesel to the manufacture of bespoke synthetic ester oils, the technology is a step-change in the reduction of costs and an increase in yield and efficiency

• a process that is able to produce the intermediate chemical acrolein, a major feedstock for the production of the amino acid methionine, from low cost glycerine. The new process takes advantage of extensive accumulated knowledge of reaction kinetics, mixing dynamics, and flow induced cavitation, and offers a reduction in the cost of production of 70%

• the development of a method for the conversion of low grade, high rancidity, high acidity oil into a drop-in replacement for Jet A and Jet A-1 aviation fuel
